Glen Mills. He was never well known for his running. He joined his high school sprinting team at age 13. Mill’s high school coach Henry McDonald Messam noticed his interest in athletics but his reluctantance to participate and so assigned him various other tasks helping the team. Two years later Mills was given the job of coaching a class of younger track & field athletes. By early 1970s, Mills had trained a significant number of male sprinters in the national junior team.
He is most famous for coaching Usain Bolt & Yohan Blake. Glen Mills became head coach of the Jamaican Olympic Athletics Team 1987-2009.
